Microwave belt dryer description
A microwave belt dryer is a cutting-edge technology that is being used for the drying of various materials in a fast and efficient way. It is the conveyor belt system that carries the material through a chamber that has microwave generators. These generators produce electromagnetic waves which penetrate the material and thus the moisture molecules of the material vibrate and thus generate heat. These hot temperatures cause the moisture to evaporate, thus, drying the material. On the contrary to the conventional drying techniques, microwave belt dryers give the advantage of quicker drying times and more precise control of temperature and moisture levels, thus obtaining the products with higher quality dried. They are usually found in food processing, pharmaceuticals and agriculture to dry fruits, vegetables, grains and so on.
Principle of microwave belt dryer
The essence of a microwave belt dryer is that it works on the principle of utilizing electromagnetic waves, mainly microwaves, to make drying possible. The corresponding material is put on a conveyor belt, which transports it through a chamber that has the microwave generators. These generators release microwaves at certain frequencies which enter the material and interact with the moisture molecules of it. The microwaves make the water molecules vibrate really fast, which results in the friction that produces the heat. This heat will the moisture to evaporate, thus this process will dry the material. Through the management of the microwaves strength and the microwave belt dryers provide the accurate and efficient drying, hence, they are suitable for different industrial uses.
